Finishing - is there anything better? Last night we pulled a literal all nighter and finished the Grandma 90th birthday film and overnighted it off today and it will make the big bash on Sunday. I seriously cannot believe how many hours are in a seventeen minute film, sweating over edits and transitions and music selections and aspect ratios and just plain pleasing people. All said, I think we did pretty well. She's an amazing woman, staunch Catholic who believes in social justice, tai chi, and Democrats and is still sharp as a tack. I hope we did her justice, is all.
But, like AH says - who is currently napping on the couch and he deserves it - Life is like a game of Tapper - there is always another pint glass coming down the bar to deal with and a big project just temporarily dams the flow. I'm busy swinging my next hammer.
But in good news, I think I just got a summer job working with faculty and digital video and instructional technology which is all awesome but the job and money part is really what can't be beat. Things come through, more often than not, a fact I know and am profoundly grateful for. Things come through. Even I manage to come through every now and again.
