On Monday it snowed and the daffodils were crushed under a blanket of ice. Today it is supposed to hit 76 degrees and I am READY! The sun on my face felt pretty fantastic today and I am all spring green and navy and white today. ( I bought one of those green Fred Fl@re digital watches that tell the time in Japanese and I am not regretting said impulse purchase.)

It is my Grandma's birthday today and for once! I did right by her. Deluxe bird feeder in the mail as a gift - check. Flowers on their way to being delivered - check. Last year I sent flowers too and asked for tulips. They substituted roses. My Grandma HATES roses. She likes tulips and lilacs and peonies. This year I made them very aware of the fact that it must not be roses. I do hope they come through.

Also, our tickets for Spain in June have been purchased and paid for (AH's family is large and in charge of this trip) and so that trip is a go and they even rented us a car so we do not have to accompany them on trips to religious miracle sites which is pretty much the best thing I've ever heard. I will do my worshipping at the Tapas Bars of San Sebastian instead. Hoorah!!!!

Small whispers of hope that I may get to keep my student film archiving job next year as my salary comes from a different pool of money, please jebus. So I temporarily feel a bit better.

It is Spring Break after today which doesn't mean much as I will work 40+ hours next week but it still gives the workplace library a little bump of happiness.

Simone learned to blow kisses this morning and while this isn't something I was particularly cultivating or yearning for, it still made me a big pile o' mush to see it. She is killing me right now, such a bundle of - person. Her own personhood is upon her.

Apparently I like lists right now. Sorry.
