A good day (according to me, not Ice Cube): 1. Completed big film archive project at work and can move on to looming, threatening, hanging over me project now. 2. Excellent class in which I learned something and did not make an ass of myself. 3. Found out I was accepted for poster session at conference this year - it's Austin in August, no one is paying me and yeah, I haven't done a poster session before but still - a Yes not a No for once. 4. Best cup of coffee in a million years, Counter Culture's Valle del Santuario from Peru with cream and cinnamon, yum. 5. Husband picked me up with my baby who was in a fantastic mood to go get his new Keens which we bought from local shoe store despite having to have them order them AND pay $15 more than on Zappo's...it was tough to not just hit the Internet "Order" button, but sucked it up to support the local store. 6. Baby laughed, repeated "apple" "uh oh" and "bye bye" whole ride back despite it being an hour past her bedtime and then the second I turned up the reggae music she danced in her car seat like I have never seen before. It was killing me. 7. Dinner: Greens from my winter CSA (just re-upped for the summer subscription, I love this farm so very much) dressed with roasted cashews, blueberries and a squeeze of Meyer lemon juice. Seeded ciabetta spread with Chapel Hill Creamery Farmer Cheese and Mango Ginger chutney - AH used lavender honey too. Saumur white table wine which was cheap and delicious. 8. Borrowed new arrival DVD's from work library "Nick and Norah's Infinite..." (is it wrong to think so wrongly of young, young M. Cera? Why do I love him so - and so wrongly? I was cheered to read he is dating a woman 12 years older than him, like I'm just the logical next step.) and "Dr. Horrible..." which I've just watched twice in a row. While doing "homework" and writing this. 9. Fresh book and fresh sheets await. Good.
