Sort of an entry every day... I love Fridays. I go to my film archiving job and work for hours and hours alone, listening to all my podcasts, playing with film. I love film. film film film the way light shines through you, how I love you. I love splicing and winding you and tucking you away in your archival cans. I love being alone. And catching up on my Mark Kermode and TAL. I met with a good Lib Science friend for an hour rock on a rainy porch with hot coffee and a hug at the end. We talked about how long it takes to make real friends here, and how sad it is that we are finally doing this and it's time for most of them to go. Except me, baby mama slow-poke class of 2010. My whole rainy bud ride home I couldn't wait to get home and be with my family in our cozy house. AH picked me up and had booked all our hotels for our Tgiving road trip up the East Coast to visit Real Cities. And we made dinner and fed our happy baby and drank a TGIF beer and played with her in her fuzzy PJ's as she laughed and roared around the room and then she went down, down, down. And while doing homework, we watched Baby Mama which I apparently am fairly alone in liking quite a dang bit. And now I am eating dark chocolate and looking forward to a novel and my quilt. I like Fridays.
