I am writing this just after entering the first wave of poll numbers that have reported back to my house. In 4 hours, more people have voted at my precinct than voted in total 4 years ago. Rock! I am on bagel and sandwich duty, with plans to make mac n' cheese and collard greens later. Every little bit helps, right? I couldn't sleep last night. I hope I can tonight. I am trying not to read omens into the fact that it is raining hard, my husband is sick and my kid is grumpy. But I find myself making deals with traffic lights (if it turns red before I get there, we'll lose) and the weather and the kind of bagels at the deli (If they don't have cinnamon raisin, we're screwed) More later, I think. To make up for yesterday,when I was in useless goddamned library school all day, debating the useless goddamned ethics of the profession. Library school, won't you just teach me skillz pleaze?
