Dear Fashion Gods:
Thank you for making this the summer of the flowy top all in pretty, crazy prints and baby doll dresses. Basically, thank you for making Forever 21 stock what is essentially maternity clothes that cost $9.99. I had to buy 3 such smocks this week because like my sister and our peasant roots, I am showing already and feel much better in clothes that look like sacks.
Also, I thank you for the return of the headband, a look I can rock particularly well. I wore one today to work and was stopped in the hall to ask what was different about my hair. The headband baby, because it's back!
Also, thank you Victoria Secret for having a sale just when I finally admitted defeat and realized I must move up a damn cup size. And thank you for making the smushy-down Ipex because the push-up is now utterly redundant for me.
Sincerely,
Kayemess

Dear School Gods,
Thank you for being over. Graduation felt really amazing - my first robe, hat, tassel and walk across the stage. Graduating Summa Cum Laude with my little golden cord - which made me secretly proud. Surrounded by 1700 other people hooting and hollering. A kick-ass speech from former Gov. Lady B. Roberts who made me cry with her awesomeness. Being met by AH afterwards and whisked away in my robe to a long Cuban lunch and a surprise gift - a fancy and exciting digital camera. I will have to change blogs just to show off all my new pictures or as AH says, "all those pictures you will inevitably take of food and restaurant tables" which is what I've done so far. Coming home to friends and flowers and toasts and a weekend which felt like an extended birthday weekend. Finally realizing I really, truly have no more homework - at least for 8 weeks. I hardly know what to do with myself. I've pulled out my knitting for the first time in months. And oh yeah, I have to pack up my life and move. But still. No more papers!
Thank you,
Kayemess

Dear Friendship Gods:
Thank you for a house full of friends and toddlers and delicious meals this weekend and for their on-going kindness. May it stretch all the way to North Carolina.
Sincerely,
Kayemess
