Last night I had a craving for steak so AH and I grilled a steak and I carmelized some onions and mushrooms into a sauce and made some garlic bread and steamed some asparagus and tossed a salad. It was simple, old school deliciousness. Especially with a strawberry milkshake for dessert. While eating said deliciousness, I noted that a tribute to Bob Barker was playing on TV. Directly contrary to The Office Season Finale. I LOVE Bob Barker. You have no idea how much. I love the old fashioned hokeyness of The Price is Right and his silver hair and the fact that he and his cigarette slim microphone has been present for my whole damn life. Somewhere between Bob Barker, Richard Dawson of the Family Feud and Alan Alda lies the Dream Man of my childhood. So we flipped between the two shows with me shrieking "oh my god I love him" every time Bob B. made a joke or a poignant remark or asked someone to bid on an item. AH was equally stoked and turned to me, with our full plates and our channel flipping and shrieking and said, seriously, "This is an excellent night". We are simple like that, internetty.

In other important TV news, I actually thought the Gilmore Girls finale was decent, mainly because a) Logan had left the building! Oh, how I hated Logan. (Not to be confused with my love of Logan on Veronica Mars) and b) sure, Luke and Lorelei got back together but that part was low key and mostly non-verbal and at the forefront was Lorelei and Rory (and also, I was THRILLED that Rory didn't get her internship because does she not already have it completely made? yes, she does) and the town and I may have cried.

Also, I was glad Jaslene won on ANTM because I think they had Natasha's totally insane self confused with "bubbly personality". The show was delightfully bitchfest free overall though, which I appreciate. But I am afraid it was some big corporate decision to have Jaslene win to appeal to a new Hispanic demographic for Covergirl or something. And that Renee couldn't win because Caridee was blonde and won last year. Can you tell I'm thinking deeply lately? 3 weeks until Graduation, people. I have Senioritis of the Mind.
