Oh. Hello! My friend Sarah just returned home to Vancouver and wrote me to say that "people were perplexed to hear we spent our time sitting around reading old Sassy magazines" - wait, that is totally not fair! We also went to see a matinee of a movie featuring Adam Brody (because I'm sorry, he just is cute)and attended Strip-a-oke at our local strip bar. (You have not lived until you've seen your man friend sing a Smiths song as a girl twirls on a pole next to him) And the Sassy magazines were only because I was doing research for the little article/review I am doing for Portland's newspaper on the book that has just been released about Sassy. I am getting paid and everything, which I enjoy. Sometimes when Sarah and I are together, it is hard to believe she is now 40 and I am 33.

Hey! I'm moving! We're moving! In August, to Chapel Hill, NC for school. I won't say much more at this point because no doubt this will be topic of significance in the next few months but in all, I am very happy. Mostly because a decision has been made, and it won't cost too much money and I'll be starting Library School in the Fall as planned. Plus, I'm terribly curious to see that part of the world, at least for two years. If you know anyone who lives there, hook me up! We will be new and friendless yet again. We will be looking for somewhere to live from across the country. AH will be looking for a new job. Many things are uncertain but I am excited anyway. I've heard it actually gets warm there, or as my friend from NC says, "It gets hot as balls!" Indeed.
